Teledyne Impulse-PDM Receive IPC Accreditation (UK)

IPC/WHMA-A-620 is the first industry consensus standard that describes acceptability criteria for crimped, mechanically secured and soldered interconnections and the corresponding lacing/restraining criteria associated with cable and harness assemblies.

This credential is recognised and valued throughout the Electronics Industry. For many years, the Teledyne Impulse-PDM Wiring Department have based internal standards and staff training on the criteria and acceptance levels within IPC-A-620 for all product manufacture.

In response to the growing need to formalise the high quality standards set for wiring of in-house manufactured products, all Teledyne Impulse-PDM Wiring personnel have successfully completed a 4-day intensive Training and Certification programme presented by STEM Training UK.

Paul Pidgeon [Certified IPC Trainer], STEM Training UK said: “Carrying out the IPC-620 training at Teledyne Impulse in Alton was a great pleasure for me, as the course candidates already had sound knowledge of cable & wire harness assemblies. They quickly absorbed the course content & gained a high average score (95%+) over the eight tests. And as we worked our way through a number of different soldered terminals, I could see that they also had much experience on the practical soldering skills. All in all, a great team & a pleasure to work with, well done guys!”

This achievement underlines Teledyne Impulse-PDM’s commitment to providing the highest quality products for our customers, for whom reliability in harsh environments is a major concern, and affirms our long held belief that our Wiring Team are capable of delivering World Class standards of workmanship.
