The Netherlands: Fender Innovations to Supply Equipment for KNRM’s Lifeboats

In the past week, Fender Innovations has secured two new orders to supply fender systems for new lifeboats of the Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution (KNRM).

The first order is to supply a fender for the revolutionary SAR NH1816 Lifeboat. This order has come from Damen Shipyards in Gorinchem.

Fender Innovations has been involved with the design of the fenders for the KNRM from the early stages. This has lead to huge improvements compared to traditional air tubes. Both the production and mounting will be carried out by Fender Innovations.

The second order is for two fender systems for the new 9m-class RIBs, built by Habbeké Shipyard in Volendam.
