The Netherlands: Vitters Shipyard Launches Largest Carbon Sloop

The Dutch yard Vitters Shipyard adds its latest performance superyacht to its portfolio, SY Sarissa. With her 42.6 meters (138ft), Sarissa is the largest carbon sloop ever built in the Netherlands, and one of the largest worldwide. Her lightweight construction and rigging with her state of the art systems and lifting keel are only a few characteristics of this performance focused design by naval architect Bill Tripp. The distinctive interior design by Rhoades Young, which combines various finishes like carbon, glass, stainless steel, leather and several types of wood, ensure a stylish and comfortable stay on board.

The Vitters team only needed 11 months to transform the Green Marine built carbon hull into the spectacular yacht Sarissa is today. Sarissa was transported from Vitters Shipyard in Zwartsluis to Harlingen on the 24th of June. The launch as well as the stepping of the 51 meter (167ft) mast took place today.
