Under the deal, signed on June 13, the shipbuilder is scheduled to deliver the new unit in September 2020.

The 81,500 dwt vessel will have a capacity of 174,000 cbm, data provided by VesselsValue shows.

Hyundai Heavy Industries hired the French engineering company GTT to design the tanks of the new LNG carrier.

The tanks will be equipped with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system.

“This new order reinforces our long-term partnership with Hyundai Heavy Industries, with whom we have managed more than 50 new builds. We are also very pleased to accompany, once more, Thenamaris on its vessels projects,” Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT, said.
