Subsea World News has put together a recap of the interviews published during 2014.

In January, Duane Fotheringham took the role of the President of the Hydroid, a leading provider of autonomous underwater vehicles.

During a phone interview Mr. Fotheringham expressed his satisfaction with the Company’s growth, and its participation at the Oceanology International 2014 exhibition and conference.

When asked about Hydroid’s future goals, Fotheringham said: “The short term goal is to continue the success that Hydroid has had and to maintain the passion and the innovation that made the company great while continuing to grow the company.”

Subsea Global Solutions (SGS), a Florida based underwater ship repair and maintenance specialist, participated at this year’s SMM, the leading trade fair for the maritime industry being held in Hamburg, Germany.

During the fair Subsea World News reporter spoke with Mr. Rick Schilling, EVP Business Development, about the Company’s current projects and plans for the future.

Hydrex, one of the leading underwater repair and replacement specialists, exhibited a range of its products at this year’s SMM in Hamburg. 

After our last year’s interview with Mr. Rob Wolthuizen during Offshore Energy, our reporter took the chance to speak with Mr. Wolthuizen again at the SMM trade fair.

During the leading trade fair for the maritime industry, SMM 2014, being held in Hamburg, our team got the chance to speak with Mr. Wilco Stroet, Managing Director of Lankhorst Ropes, a world-wide supplier of rope and ships mooring lines.

Lankhorst Ropes is an old company which started in 1803. They started with natural fibers and evaluated themselves in the last two hundred years as a technical leader when it comes to synthetic moorings, including moorings of container ships, moorings of navy ships, towing lines and deepwater moorings.
