1. The Underwater Centre: Number of Students Increases (UK)

Fort William-based subsea training and trials facility, The Underwater Centre, has seen a 25% increase in the number of students through its doors in 2012, with the number set to increase even further by the end of 2013.

2. Technip Bags Subsea Contract for Chevron’s Alder Field

Technip was awarded by Chevron North Sea Ltd a substantial engineering, procurement, installation and construction (EPIC) contract for the Alder field.

3. Dana Petroleum Replaces Mooring Chains on Its Triton FPSO

Dana Petroleum has replaced all nine mooring chains on its oil production vessel Triton – under budget and ahead of schedule.

4. BOURBON Finds Solutions for Asian Offshore Market

As part of the its Subsea Services Activity in Asia, BOURBON is currently operating locally 3 MPSVs devoted to Inspection, Maintenance and Repair (IMR) operations: the Southern Ocean in Eastern Russia, the Bourbon Supporter in Thailand, and the Bourbon Evolution 803 in Malaysia.

5. Helix Announces Construction of Newbuild Semisubmersible Well Intervention Vessel Q7000

Helix Energy Solutions Group, Inc. announced that it is proceeding with the construction of a second newbuild semisubmersible well intervention vessel, to be named the Q7000.
