U.S. offshore rig count drops by two units

The number of offshore rigs operating in the U.S. fell down by two units this past week, according to a report by oilfield services provider Baker Hughes, a GE company.


Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +6 to 929 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 6 rigs from last week to 929, with oil rigs up 2 to 749, gas rigs up 4 to 180, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged.

U.S. Rig Count is up 332 rigs from last year’s count of 597, with oil rigs up 272, gas rigs up 61, and miscellaneous rigs down 1 to 0.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down 2 rigs from last week to 20 and down 2 rigs year-over-year.

 

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada +7 to 222 rigs

Canada Rig Count is up 7 rigs from last week to 222, with oil rigs up 4 to 111 and gas rigs up 3 to 111, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged.

Canada Rig Count is up 22 rigs from last year’s count of 200, with oil rigs up 11, gas rigs up 13, and miscellaneous rigs down 2 to 0.
