U.S. offshore rig count goes up

The number of U.S. offshore rigs climbed up to 21 last week, according to weekly rig count reports released on Friday by Baker Hughes, a GE company. 


Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +13 to 1,045 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 13 rigs from last week to 1,045, with oil rigs up 10 to 844, gas rigs up 3 to 199, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 2.

U.S. Rig Count is up 160 rigs from last year’s count of 885, with oil rigs up 132, gas rigs up 27, and miscellaneous rigs up 1 to 2.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is up 2 rigs to 21 and unchanged year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada -7 to 79 rigs

Canada Rig Count is down 7 rigs from last week to 79, with oil rigs down 5 to 32 and gas rigs down 2 to 47.

Canada Rig Count is down 1 rig from last year’s count of 80, with oil rigs up 3 and gas rigs down 4.
