U.S. offshore rig count hits the breaks

After falling down to 16 units, the number of offshore rigs in the U.S. came to a halt and remained unchanged last week, according to Baker Hughes’ weekly rig count report from last Friday.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +22 to 635 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 22 from last week to 635 with oil rigs up 19 to 516, gas up 2 to 118, and miscellaneous rigs up 1 to 1.

U.S. Rig Count is up 238 rigs from last year’s count of 397 with oil rigs up 210 gas rigs up 28 and miscellaneous unchanged at 1.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 16, down 1 year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada +1 to 219 rigs

Canada Rig Count is up 1 from last week to 219, with oil rigs up 1 to 137, gas rigs unchanged at 82.

Canada Rig Count is up 43 rigs from last year’s count of 176, with oil rigs up 36, gas rigs up 7.
