U.S. weekly offshore rig count rises to 27 units

The number of active offshore rigs in the U.S. rose to 27 units last week, Baker Hughes reported in its weekly rig count report on Friday.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +1 to 935 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 1 rig from last week to 935, with oil rigs up 6 to 770, gas rigs down 4 to 165, and miscellaneous rigs down 1 to 0.

U.S. Rig Count is down 122 rigs from last year’s count of 1,057, with oil rigs down 99, gas rigs down 21, and miscellaneous rigs down 2 to 0.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is up 2 rigs to 27 and up 6 rigs year-over-year.

 

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada +2 rigs to 142 rigs

 

Canada Rig Count is up 2 rigs from last week to 142, with oil rigs up 7 to 101 and gas rigs down 5 to 41.

Canada Rig Count is down 70 rigs from last year’s count of 212, with oil rigs down 40 and gas rigs down 30.
