UK: AML Oceanographic to Introduce New Products at Oceanology International

AML Oceanographic of Sidney, B.C. will introduce four new products at Oceanology International 2012.

Turbidity•Xchange™ and DO•Xchange™ are two new additions to AML’s Xchange family of field-swappable sensor-heads. The addition of these two new low cost sensor-heads brings all the advantages of field-swappable sensor-heads to the world of oceanographic accuracy multi-parameter instruments. Both sensor-heads are currently in pre-release, with general release expected in the Summer of 2012.

bathyMetrec•X is AML’s new state of the art bathymetric system. bathyMetrec•X is the only instrument to combine the all key features of a bathymetric system: a low drift, high accuracy 0.01% Paroscientific® Digiquartz pressure sensor; a high accuracy time-of-flight sound velocity sensor, for altimeter correction; and the ability to calculate salinity and density.

Metrec•X is an externally powered, multi-parameter instrument that allows you to change the instrument’s sensor load, in-the-field and on-demand. Metrec•X can accomodate as many as five Xchange sensor-heads on the end-cap, allowing you to configure the focus of your research on an application by application basis. What distinguishes the bathyMetrec•X from the Metrec•X is the Digiquartz pressure sensor; the former has it and the latter does not.

With the addition of these new Xchange sensor-heads and new instruments, AML has greatly added to the unique eco-system of field-swappable sensor-heads and sensor xchangeable instruments.
