UK: Cygnus Instruments Displays Cygnus DIVE at Seawork 2012

Cygnus Instruments (stand B15), the leading manufacturer of Multiple Echo Ultrasonic Underwater Thickness Gauges, displays and demonstrates its latest Underwater model, the Cygnus DIVE at Seawork 2012.

Packed with new features, it has been designed to be worn on the diver’s wrist, freeing a hand while performing the thickness survey. Like all Cygnus products the DIVE has been designed for easy operation: it has only two buttons for quick and easy navigation of the menu and it has a large bright colour TFT screen displaying the thickness measurements in large, clear, easy to read numbers.

To assist in the verification of thickness measurements and help locate suitable ultrasound reflectors on badly corroded metal, the Cygnus DIVE can display an A-Scan graph of the ultrasound received. The Deep Coat function allows the Cygnus DIVE to measure metal thickness through coatings up to 20mm thick.

Topside Options include DIVELink software to data log readings and store A-Scans on the surface and a Topside Display unit with video overlay capabilities to mix and display thickness measurements on the video monitor. An optional HelmetView™ remotely displays thickness measurements via a display fitted to the diver’s helmet.
