UK: National Hyperbaric Centre Appoints Three New Experts

A specialist North-east oil and gas industry support and training facility has expanded its team following continued growth in business.

The Aberdeen-based National Hyperbaric Centre (NHC) has made three key appointments to its training and consultancy departments increasing the in-house team to 24 experts.

The NHC, which is a privately owned company, has been operating in the North-east for more than 20 years and delivers a range of services including training courses, testing and trial facilities, research and development, auditing, diving medical support, equipment certification, senior consultancy and lifeboat reception.

James Ridgeway has been appointed as training manager for the centre and brings over 20 years experience in the diving industry. Mr Ridgeway will oversee all outsourced training on locations across the globe, as well as training undertaken at the Aberdeen centre.

Ashleigh Gillan also joins the team as training coordinator looking after logistics for the department.

The NHC has also increased its consultancy department with the appointment of consultancy coordinator, Angela Stephen. Miss Stephen will be responsible for the allocation of client representatives and auditors for customer contracts.

Managing Director of the NHC, David Smith, said: “We have secured a number of successful contracts in recent months and both the expansion of the training department and the new consultancy role allows us to continue delivering an outstanding service and developing new products and services to support the industry.”

The NHC offers a range of oil and gas industry support and specialised training services to clients in the UK and across the globe. It is currently the only hyperbaric centre of its kind in the UK and boasts a team of experts with a wealth of knowledge in the oil and gas industry.
