UK NWFTC Takes on Training Manager to Expand Course Provision

National Wind Farm Training Centres (NWFTC) is growing its training team to support its increased schedule of training courses. Tom O’Shea, an expert in rescue requirements and procedures with more than ten years’ experience in training, has joined NWFTC to oversee the development of new courses and deliver NWFTC’s established range of training services.

Dan Smart, Managing Director NWFTC commented: “I am delighted that Tom O’Shea is joining us. Demand for NWFTC training courses has steadily increased over the last two years and is picking up sharply this year as construction in the industry intensifies. Tom’s specific expertise and experience will allow us to expand our range of training courses specifically focused on the needs of the wind industry.”

Tom O’Shea commented: ”Joining NWFTC allows me to continue my focus on providing high quality training solutions to the wind industry. Clean energy is currently a national priority, however building and maintaining a wind farm is never an easy job. Sewing the seed for the right culture amongst operational personnel starts with training companies like ourselves and I am committed to ensuring this remains one of our top priorities. ”
