UK: Professionals to Share Experiences at Wave and Tidal Workshop

The “Unique Challenges of Site Characterisation in Wave & Tidal Projects” workshop will bring together professionals in the wave and tidal energy sectors to share their unique experiences of characterising potential wave and tidal energy sites.

Presenters will offer insights into the challenges they have encountered whilst acquiring data in complex marine environments and will share knowledge about best practise, data compliance, planning for oceanographic, geosciences and environmental surveys and how best to ensure data acquisition activities consistently deliver high quality, timely and cost effective results.

The workshop is focused towards people who are actively involved in collecting and using data for tidal and wave sites. The workshop will also provide the opportunity for energy developers, device manufacturers, regulators, consultants and marine surveyors to enter a lively debate on how the site characterisation process can be improved.

The workshop will take place the day before the RenewableUK Wave & Tidal 2012 Conference. Places are very limited and registration will close on Tuesday 6th March 2012 at 5pm.
