USA: 2H Offshore Becomes Memeber of VIVA JIP

Business & Finance

2H Offshore, an Acteon company, recently announced that it has become a member of the VIVA JIP. The company will partner with existing JIP members Chevron, BP, Petrobras, ABS and Technip to support the innovative Vortex Induced Vibration Analysis software.

Engineers at 2H Offshore already use the VIVA software for riser analysis on a regular basis. The addition of VIVA to the 2H analysis toolbox increases 2H’s ability to provide ‘best in class’ riser and conductor engineering services. 2H prides itself on being a dynamic and innovative company and the VIVA software aligns well with the engineering firm’s vision and values.

Mike Campbell, 2H Vice President of Engineering said, “The VIVA software is very progressive and has added a large number of features recently such as travelling waves and higher harmonics. These, along with planned future developments of the software, made us keen to become a member of the JIP. We look forward to working with the other member companies concerning the VIVA software”.

As a member of the VIVA JIP, 2H Offshore will be able to influence the development of VIVA. This will allow 2H to develop applications and include options that are relevant to the company and industry needs.
