USA: Bowtech Products to Present at Offshore Technology Conference 2012

Bowtech Products Ltd., a market leading manufacturer and supplier of cameras, LED lighting, connectors, fiber optic multiplexers and slip rings for use in underwater or hazardous area applications, to any ocean depth, has announced that they will be exhibiting at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) 2012, held from the 30th April to the 3rd of May, at the Reliant Center in Houston, USA.

After years of attending the show, Bowtech Products will be showcasing and talking about their new and upgraded product ranges at Stand 2375/4, in the Scottish Pavilion, brought to the show by Scottish Development International.

Bowtech Products will be displaying prototypes of their new SURVEYOR-3D-HD and 3D-SD, colour cameras, which are high definition and standard definition respectively.

The 3D-SD incorporates two High Resolution CCD Sensors, configured within a single compact housing, for Standard Definition stereoscopic imaging. The 3D-SD transmits left and right standard composite analogue video signals (PAL / NTSC), on a single connector, allowing straight forward connection to the majority of ROV and underwater imaging systems.

SURVEYOR-3D-HD incorporates two High Definition cameras into one underwater housing, which transmits dual HD-SDI over fibre to the surface, where the data is converted back to 2 HD-SDI signals. On the surface, these signals are processed in a variety of ways to view either with passive polarized 3D glasses on a dual HD-SDI monitor, or with further processing of the signals, to combine them into a single HDMI signal, where the image can be viewed on 3D TVs again with the use of 3D glasses. Another option is the use of lenticular technology, to allow glasses free 3D viewing. All of the options provide a perception of depth from the images displayed.

Bowtech Products will also be displaying their new L3C-400-MINI and L3C-400-MICRO, extremely compact miniature cameras, as well as discussing their recent tooling and diving camera upgrades, which will introduce better resolution imaging to the market, with 100 more TV Lines.

Mike Winstanley, Sales and Marketing Director at Bowtech Products says: “Although this is our first booth at OTC, we have supported the show for years and are looking forward to showcasing our latest technology to an expanding client base both in the Americas and globally. We will be supported by our Gulf of Mexico and Brazilian representatives – Seatronics and look forward to forging many new relationships, both in the region and across the world.”
