V.Group Buys Selandia, Expands Presence in Asia

Ship manager V.Group has acquired Mumbai-based maritime services provider Selandia Holdings Pte. Ltd and its subsidiaries, comprising the Selandia Ship Management Group, as part of its plans to expand in Asia.

Selandia will continue to operate as an independent ship management brand within the V.Group portfolio, enhancing the company’s resources in the tanker sector.

Combining Selandia’s operations, V.Group said that it now offers “the largest ship management fulfillment capability from India and has the widest access to Indian seafarers.”

“For V.Group, this acquisition represents a great opportunity for us to continue to lead on our technical and crew management operations in India – particularly the tanker sector, where there is high demand for specialist skills,” Clive Richardson, CEO and President, V.Group, said.

Selandia Ship Management has 63 vessels in technical management, including tankers (product, crude, chemical), gas carriers, and bulk carriers.

Selandia Crew Management currently provides crewing services to more than 175 vessels from a dedicated pool of 4300 seafarers.
