In its fleet status report on Tuesday, Vantage said that its jack-up drilling rig Soehanah (Pearl Driller) had won a 45-day well job with Petronas Carigali for operations offshore Indonesia.

The contract is scheduled to end in the first quarter of 2021.

Vantage has not revealed the day rate for the jack-up rig but Bassoe estimates it to be around $75,000.

It is worth reminding that, back in September, the Soehanah rig had won a 35-day well plus mobilisation with a Mubadala Petroleum subsidiary, Pearl Oil (Sebuku) Ltd.

The gig was scheduled to start in October and end in November 2020.

Vantage bought the Soehanah rig and renamed it Pearl Driller back in 2019.

Furthermore, Vantage said that India’s ONGC had confirmed an optional contract period for the drillship Platinum Explorer.

The option starts in the fourth quarter of this year and ends in the first quarter next year.

The 2010-built drillship started working for the Indian company in 2010 under the five-year contract that ended in 2015.

It was then warm-stacked through 2016 and part of 2017 and in June 2017 was awarded a three-year contract with ONGC.
