VIDEO: Contractor Removes Silt from Peel Marina, Isle of Man
After continuing concerns over a build up of silt, the Peel Marina dredging project is finally underway. This area was last dredged in 2012.
“Silt is carried down the River Neb, particularly after heavy rainfall. This is a natural process,” said Ann Reynolds, Director of Ports at the Department of Infrastructure.
“The works are always programmed to take place between January and May to allow for fish migratory patterns,” he added.
