VIDEO: ‘IES Energy’ launched from Kleven Verft

An offshore multi-purpose vessel IES Energy has been launched from Kleven Verft in Norway.

The launching ceremony took place on September 26, 2015.

In July 2014, Kleven signed a shipbuilding contract with IES Pioneer for the vessel vessel of MT 6015 design from Marin Teknikk, that was expected to be contracted by oil & gas operating companies in the deep and ultra deep-water hydrocarbon fields of Asia and the Middle East.

According to Kleven, the IES Energy is set to be delivered to IES Pioneer in December.

The vessel has a length of 93,8 meters, a beam of 20,0 meters, a working deck of more than 1,000 sq. meters, and will feature accommodation for 60 persons, CAP 437 compliant helideck, fire-fighting capabilities as well as provisions for ROV operations.
