Video: Naming of Teekay’s First Samba Class Shuttle Tanker

On April 9th, Samsung Heavy Industries organized the naming ceremony for Teekay Offshore’s newbuild shuttle tanker Samba Spirit.

Samba Spirit is the first of four newbuild shuttle tankers comprising the Samba Class. The four suezmax-size DP2 shuttle tankers are being constructed by Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea. Upon delivery in mid- to late-2013, the vessels will commence operations under 10-year time-charters for BG in Brazil.
