Vietnam - DQS' Dry Dock Receives Three Large Tonnage Crane Vessels

Dung Quat Shipbuilding Industry Company Limited (DQS) has safely received three large tonnage crane vessels named Truong Sa, Hoang Sa, and Con Son of Vietsovpetro owner into No.1 dry dock.

Specifications of the three vessels as follows:

Hoang Sa crane barge:

Length: 125m, Breadth: 36m, deadweight 9.332 DWT; Lifting capacity up to 1,200 T, radius: 21m ÷ 40m.

Truong Sa crane vessel:

Length: 139,1m, Breadth: 54m, deadweight 3.300 DWT; Lifting capacity up to 1.200 T, radius: 35m.

 

After being repaired and converted, Truong Sa crane vessel will become oil & gas Pipe-laying vessels.

DQS' Dry Dock Receives Three Large Tonnage Crane Vessels

Con Son crane barge:

Length: 110m, Breadth: 30.5m, draught: deadweight 6.952 DWT ; Lifting capacity up to 1.200 T, radius: 35m,

This is a unique specialized Pipe-laying vessels in Southeast Asia getting nearly 500T lifting capacity; moreover, it is designed machinery system for submarine pipes laying technology.

DQS' Dry Dock Receives Three Large Tonnage Crane Vessels-

Under the contract, DQS will carry out repairing all machinery, main engine systems, generators, air conditioners, cooling systems, winches, wood floor on deck, electrical & hydraulic system, cranes, hull… with over 300 repair or replacement items.

Three Hoang Sa, Truong Sa, and Con Son crane vessels were used for construction, installation, equipment maintenance of entire marine works of “Vietsovpetro”

After dry dock No. 1 was cleaned and dried, DQS officially began repairing work. Expected repairing schedule is 75 days. The winning contracts for repairing Hoang Sa, Truong Sa, Con Son crane vessels proved capabilities of DQS, and opened development prospects for ship repairing of the shipyard in near future.
