Vietnam: Dung Quat Shipyard Redelivers Repaired Crane Vessel Hoang Sa
After three months of repairing, on February 29th 2012, Dung Quat shipyard (DQS) delivered Hoang Sa crane vessel to the Owner Vietsovpetro. This is the earliest vessel in the series of three crane vessels repaired in DQS.
The Hoang Sa crane vessel was built in 1984 in Singapore, length of 125 m, width of 36 m, free board 8m, Gross weight over 13.000 DWT, loading capacity of 1.200t, the reach of 21 m to nearly 40 m. DQS has repaired machinery, main engine system, generator sets, air conditioners, cooling system, mooring winches, wooden floor on deck, electrical system, hydraulic system, cranes, painting, overhaul hull…with more than 400 repairing and renewal items.
At the meeting with DQS Leaders, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuyen, General Director of Vietsovpetro highly has appreciated DQS effort in repairing three vessels, specially delivery Hoang Sa vessel timely and meet requirements. Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuyen would like DQS Staffs make more effort to ensure schedule of two remaining vessels as Con Son and Truong Sa.
