Volgo-Don Max NEVA-LEADER 6 Departs Nevsky

The Delivery-Acceptance act for the sixth dry-cargo vessel “NEVA-LEADER 6” of RSD49 project was signed on October 25th 2013. The vessel was built at Nevsky Shipyard for North -Western Shipping Company, JSC.

The project RSD49 is developed by Marine Engineering Bureau-Design-SPb, JSC.

RSD49 project vessels refer to «Volgo-Don Max» class in accordance with the classification accepted by Marine Engineering Bureau. It means that vessels displacement meet the requirements of Volga-Don Shipping Canal. Multipurpose dry-cargo vessels of RSD49 project are the largest of the existing dry-cargo vessels of “river-sea” type in Russia.

The vessels are intended for transportation of general and bulk cargoes including grain, timber and large-dimension cargoes in the Caspian Sea as well as in the Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea, Baltic Sea, White Sea and North Sea including routes around Europe and on the Irish Sea in winter.
