Vroon Confirms Two PSVs Order in China

After COSCO Guandong shipyard from China today announced it has secured an order for two Plaform Supply Vessels from an undisclosed European client, the client revealed itself.

Vroon, a Dutch company that owns a fleet of offshore support vessels, has confirmed it has ordered the two newbuilding PSVs of Ulstein’s PX121 design.

The vessels, will be delivered early in 2015 and are intended for operation in European waters by Vroon Offshore Services B.V. in Den Helder.

“We are looking forward to cooperating with COSCO Shipyards on building these ships. COSCO is presently also constructing four livestock carriers for Vroon at the same Shipyard,” Vroon said in a statement.

The value of the orders is set at a value of approximately US$54 million in total.
