WellDog Bags QGC Contract (Australia)
WellDog said that QGC Pty Limited, developer of the Queensland Curtis LNG Project, has awarded the company a contract for provision of downhole gauge systems, and services related to installation of the systems.
The contract has a term of three years with extension options thereafter and a baseline work schedule valued at A$4 million.
“We are delighted to be selected by QGC as the successful bidder after a highly competitive tendering process,” said John M. Pope, Ph.D., president and CEO of WellDog. “The performance and value of our gauge systems will clearly assist QGC in production optimization by minimizing time to gas and unnecessary water production while holding down completion costs.”
The downhole gauge systems will enable QGC to measure carefully bottom hole pressures in their coal seam gas wells, to manage completion performance, and to calibrate their coal seam reservoir models.
