WFS Technologies Names Project Director, Americas

WFS Technology has named Christopher Curran as a project director for the Americas region.

He recently retired from BP where he was an advisor with the Upstream Facilities Technology group.

He has worked in the areas of subsea condition monitoring and integrity management, and has been active in developing and promoting subsea wireless communication technology, the company noted.

Curran is chairman of API 17F subsea controls, API 17O HIPPS and API 17V for subsea safety.

He has a degree in physics from University of Bristol and is founding chairman of the Society for Underwater Technology’s Houston branch.

Curran is a chartered engineer, a fellow of the Society for Underwater Technology and of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
