The deal covers equipment of floating liquefied natural gas units (FLNG), floating storage and regasification units (FSRU), floating storage regasification power (FSRP) units and LNG carriers, using membrane solutions developed by the French LNG containment specialist, Wison said in its statement on Wednesday.

WOM obtained GTT’s license after having completed a qualification process that began earlier this year, including the construction of Mark III technology Mock-up. This technology and its evolutions equip more than 250 vessels in operation and under construction.

This new partnership allows both partners to further expand their offer to ship owners, to target new markets, especially focusing on floating based solutions, and to advance the development of LNG in the global supply chain.

“Wison Offshore & Marine is committed to delivering innovative solutions across LNG value chain from liquefaction, transportation and delivery, regasification, to LNG-to-power,” Wenxin An, chief operating officer of Wison Offshore & Marine said, adding that this will allow the company to offer more actively LNG solutions with GTT’s technologies in China, which is what the market is asking for.

GTT’s chairman and CEO, Philippe Berterottière, Chairman said, “We are very interested in developing and building together new LNG infrastructures which can provide innovative natural gas value chain solutions.”
