Woodside extends Worley agreement for services to Pluto LNG
Australian energy company Woodside has awarded a two-year extension to a non-binding frame agreement for Worley’s EPC services to continue supporting the Karratha Gas and Pluto LNG plants in Western Australia.
This deal includes brownfield engineering services, including engineering studies and technical support. It also covers front-end engineering and design services for sustaining capital projects, procurement, commissioning, project management, and construction and shutdown management.
Pluto LNG will, amounts others, receive these services. The plant processes gas from the offshore Pluto and Xena gas fields in Western Australia.
Worley, an Australian-based global oilfield service company, has provided these services to Woodside for over 30 years. It utilised a variety of contracting models.
The companies established the original agreement in 2018. This extension is for a further two years with the option to extend.
Furthermore, Worley’s Perth office will execute the services with support from Worley’s Global Integrated Delivery team in India.
“Our proven track record of delivering brownfield sustaining capital programs within complex operating environments positions us to support Woodside through the energy transition,” said Chris Ashton, CEO of Worley, in conclusion.
