WorleyParsons names CEO of global advisory business

WorleyParsons today announced that after a comprehensive global search that New York-based Dennis Finn has been selected as CEO of the company’s new global advisory business following a 10-year career as a senior Partner in the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) network.

WorleyParsons Group CEO Andrew Wood said Finn is a very successful and respected global leader who will bring substantial professional service experience to the new business.

“In launching our new global business we needed a leader who had advised clients across the globe, successfully helped build significant global advisory businesses, and understands the importance of talent and culture. In addition, we needed an individual with energy, global experience and a passion for growth. We definitely found that in Dennis Finn,” he said.

“Dennis will be a great addition to the WorleyParsons team, having successfully worked directly for numerous Chairmen, Boards and CEOs as well as being a sought after ‘thought leader’ and speaker by many international clients. He brings particular skills in transformational change, global strategy and high impact ‘client focused’ interventions.”

Commenting on his selection as the CEO of the new global advisory business Finn said, “I’m delighted to have been chosen to lead WorleyParsons’ new business and look forward to building a significant advisory business around the world.

“With a strong base already established through Evans & Peck in Australia and Asia, we have a significant opportunity to build out our capabilities in other key locations where we can help our clients develop and implement practical solutions whilst leveraging the real world experience of WorleyParsons,” he said.

Finn joined PwC in 2004 as senior Advisory partner and Head of Consulting for PwC Australia. He subsequently undertook other major leadership roles, including Global Engagement Partner for one of Australia’s leading telecommunications companies as well as Human Capital Leader for PwC Australia and Asia.

In 2008 he played a central role in the network’s largest global change initiative which led to significant changes to structure and operations. Following this milestone project, in 2009 he relocated to New York City to be the Global and US Human Capital Leader as well as serve on both the United States and Global Leadership Executive Teams. In 2012 he was appointed Vice Chairman and Global Human Capital Leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers International Limited (PwC IL).

Prior to PwC, Finn held major leadership roles including Chief Executive – Carter Holt Harvey and key roles in Lion Nathan, British Nuclear Fuels and also ran his own strategy consulting practice for two years.

Finn will begin his role in September 2014 and will be based in London, United Kingdom.
