China: CIC Changxing Shipyard Completes Repair Works for Vessel GAO ZHOU HAI

On March 30th 2012 MB GAO ZHOU HAI set to sail smoothly after a sound repair was carried out by CIC Changxing Shipyard. The subject vessel is a bulk-carrier registered at Port of Tianjin, China. She berthed alongside at Changxing Shipyard on March 9th, for the renewal of lifeboats wires and test of hatch covers as main repair items.

Considering the aged condition of the vessel and equipments onboard, as well as the cluttered miscellaneous repair items, SRM and supervisors of the yard held daily meetings on-board the vessel in order to monitor the repair progress, analyze problems encountered and found the solution. The workshops provided strong back-up to catch an earlier sailing time by working overtime. The repair team overcome various difficulties and managed to complete all the repair works on March 29th.
