CIC Jiangsu Marks Pre-Erection Stage for 10000 TEU Boxship

China Shipping Industry’s Jiangsu shipbuilding base has begun the assembly of CB02/03 blocks of the 10000 TEU containership at the yard’s No.3 dry dock pre-erection platform.

This is a milestone in the 10000 TEU containership project, and an important step before the erection stage.

Prior to launching the project, the company’s staff started the transformation and upgrading of CIC Jiangsu (CICJS) with the implementation of “Building the 10000 TEU containership with good quality” programme.

As confirmed by the company, the move has led to a great progress in the project, the main aim being completion of the contract with high quality.

In order to meet the requirements of a 10000 TEU container vessel and ensure the project proceeds smoothly, CICJS has formulated a human resource training plan and carried out related trainings by exchanging knowledge with other enterprises.

More than 700 people have accepted trainings in areas such as welding, high voltage electrical engineering and training related to side hanging basket this year. With the ship construction processing steadily, CICJS will further carry out related trainings according to different stages of construction and concrete requirements of construction technology.
