Over 45 organizations registered for HME seminar ‘Design & Usability’ of 1 June

More than 45 different organizations have registered for the seminar ‘Design & Usability’ on Tuesday June 1 in Harlingen. This seminar will be held as part of the innovation platform Shore Support.

The theme ‘Design & Usability’ refers to the way ships are designed and equipped, and how the Shore Support philosophy could be implemented in the complete ship design. Six organizations will give a short 10-minute presentation after which a discussion takes place by means of the concept ‘House of Commons’ (Het Lagerhuis).

Into the hold
The Shore Support seminar ‘Design 7 Usability will be held in the hold of a newly built ship at Damen Shipyards Bergum, location Harlingen.

Project Shore Support
The innovation project Shore Support investigates the social, legal and technical possibilities of shore support for coastal ships to improve ships safety and stimulate flexible manning requirements.
