Worley takes on five-year job for oil & gas assets in Norwegian waters

Australia’s engineering company Worley has landed a multi-year assignment with Norway’s state-owned energy giant Equinor for several oil and gas facilities on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).

The framework agreement with Equinor for oil and gas facilities on the Norwegian Continental Shelf will support offshore maintenance, installation and modification activities that Worley will provide at selected installations, including the Sleipner and Johan Sverdrup assets.

Chris Ashton, Chief Executive Officer of Worley, commented: “We value the trust Equinor has placed in Worley through this framework agreement, reflecting our strong local presence and expertise in Norway, supported by our global network of additional specialized resources to support Equinor’s offshore operations as required.”

The five-year agreement, which will begin in May 2026, comes with options that enable the Norwegian state-owned giant to extend the Australian player’s job.

This deal, which builds on Worley’s existing relationship with Equinor, is said to mark an important step in extending long-term services arrangements with the Norwegian firm.

The latest long-term job comes shortly after Worley was picked to provide engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) services for the Alaska LNG project.
