AGR Wins Supply Chain Compliance Gold Accreditation (UK)

Global oil and gas service company AGR’s UK Well Management Division has been awarded Gold Accreditation for UKCS Supply Chain Code of Practice compliance for the second year running.

The code of practice (SCCoP) endorsed by Oil & Gas UK and First Point Assessment Limited (FPAL) aims to reinforce supply chain best practices by ranking qualifying companies.

The SCCoP has become a valuable tool for encouraging and measuring improvements across the industry, helping to improve behavior, drive waste out in the supply chain and increase efficiency.

To prove the continuous improvements to their processes and procedures, the Aberdeen-based division had to complete the annual SCCoP Compliance Survey, demonstrate commitment to the PILOT Share Fair and submit an analysis demonstrating compliance from the perspective of their suppliers and contractors.

The division was then assessed on a variety of factors including speed of invoice payments, transparency of forward work planning and the use of standard contracts.

Commenting on the award, Ian Burdis, AGR’s Executive Vice President, UK and West Africa, said: “To achieve top recognition in respect of UKCS Supply Chain Compliance is extremely gratifying.

“AGR has established a comprehensive well supply chain that is available to our clients globally. Through the use of AGR’s contracts, we help our clients to be well-informed regarding market intelligence and are able to source equipment from a secure, contracted supplier base to satisfy client’s ongoing and new project requirements.

“The Gold Accreditation award can only be achieved by the involvement of reliable and trustworthy personnel and again AGR has been fortunate to have such people in the various departments engaged in the supply process.

“In addition, I believe that this level of distinction, speaks volumes for AGR’s tried and tested well delivery processes and procedures.”

In 2009 and 2010, AGR was awarded bronze-level compliance and the following year the silver-level compliance award.
