Oliver Kassam - CEO Airborne Oil and Gas

Kassam was most recently at SBM Offshore as president and managing director in charge of the company’s activities in Brazil.

Tim van Delden, chairman of the supervisory board, said: “We are very happy to welcome Oliver Kassam to Airborne Oil & Gas. Oliver shares our vision that AOG’s Thermoplastic Composite Pipe (TCP) will become a significant component of the subsea pipeline infrastructure, in line with the industry’s continued drive for reduction of total installed cost and life cycle cost. With Oliver’s global network and solid commitment to safety and quality, the Supervisory Board is confident that he can work with the AOG Management Team to lead the company to the next phase of growth and further success.”

Kassam began his career in the oil and gas industry with KBR in 1996. He spent 8 years with Subsea 7 before joining SBM Offshore in 2012, as part of a new management team to restructure the business.

He will start his new position on July 1, 2018 and be based in IJmuiden, The Netherlands.

“In its short history, Airborne Oil & Gas has gotten the attention of our industry, developing the leading technology in TCP, as a lighter, corrosion-resistant alternative to metal pipe. I am impressed with how they have progressively built a track record in the oilfield sector, working with several major oil and gas companies around the world. It is clear to me that they have achieved this with the passion and dedication of the employees and support from its substantial and impressive shareholder base, sharing a common vision. I believe that AOG has a strong future in the oil and gas industry and I am excited to work with the rest of the management team to ensure this,” said Oliver Kassam, CEO of Airborne Oil & Gas.
