Atlantic Offshore adds two vessels to its fleet

Shipping company Atlantic Offshore and its main shareholder Ogreid has purchased two emergency response and rescue vessels (ERRVs).

Atlantic Offshore said on Tuesday that the company bought the Bravo Sapphire and Bravo Topaz vessels.

According to the company, the vessel purchase will create approximately 50 new jobs.

The 2008-built Bravo Sapphire, now renamed the Ocean Dee, will be equipped and delivered as a UK Coded Class A emergency response and rescue vessel (ERRV), providing room for more than 300 survivors.

Atlantic added that the company also renamed the 2010-built Bravo Topaz to Ocean Don. The vessel will be equipped and delivered as a UK Coded Class B and will also provide room for 300 survivors.
