Baker Hughes Incorporated has posted Weekly Rig Count reports to its Investor Relations website. U.S. Offshore rig count unchanged from last week.

BHI Rig Count: U.S. + 5 to 1913 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 5 rigs from last week to 1913, with oil rigs up 1 to 1589, gas rigs up 5 to 321, and miscellaneous rigs down 1 to 3.

U.S. Rig Count is up 122 rigs from last year at 1791, with oil rigs up 192, gas rigs down 67, and miscellaneous rigs down 3.
The U.S. Offshore rig count is 62, unchanged from last week, and unchanged year over year.
BHI Rig Count: Canada + 14 to 401 rigs

Canadian Rig Count is up 14 rigs from last week to 401, with oil rigs up 2 to 224, and gas rigs up 12 to 177.

Canadian Rig Count is up 43 rigs from last year at 358, with oil rigs down 7, and gas rigs up 50.

The Baker Hughes Rotary Rig Counts are counts of the number of drilling rigs actively exploring for or developing oil or natural gas in the United States, Canada and international markets. Baker Hughes has issued the rotary rig counts as a service to the petroleum industry since 1944, when Hughes Tool Company began weekly counts of US and Canadian drilling activity. Baker Hughes initiated the monthly international rig count in 1975.
