BigLift, Chung Yang Team Up in Heavy Lift Shipping

BigLift Shipping, part of Dutch Spliethoff Group, and Korea’s company Chung Yang Shipping have decided to cooperate in heavy transport shipping.

As informed, four heavy transport vessels of the two companies will be commercially operated by BigLift Shipping.

The ships in question are the 20,000 dwt BigLift Barentsz and BigLift Baffin and 15,600 dwt CY Interocean I and CY Interocean II.

With the combination of two pairs of sister vessels, the companies said they are “ready to meet the future demands in the LNG, oil and gas markets and the renewable market.”

Both Chung Yang and BigLift Shipping will provide technical and operational support in the early stages of the projects, providing engineered and tailor-made solutions in various project phases.
