Bihar International Orders Up to Eight Tankers in China

UAE-based shipowner Bihar International has placed an order for up to eight tankers.

According to data provided by Asiasis, the company signed contracts for the construction of two 110,000 dwt tankers and two more 50,000 dwt units. The deals include two options each.

The vessels would be constructed by China’s New Times Shipbuilding and are scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2021.

The data shows that Bihar International would pay around USD 340 million for the batch, or USD 48 million and USD 37 million, respectively, per ship.
