Bulk Carrier Omegas Pending Towage

Liberian-flagged bulk carrier Omegas, managed by Greek Entrust Maritime CO. Ltd, has spent the last week stranded in the Indian ocean near the Mallaca Strait entrance, pending for the arrival of a tug boat to tow it away.

The bulker has experienced propeller shaft damage while en route from Argentina to Vietnam carrying a cargo of soya beans, leaving it disabled on July 31 or earlier.

A letter of offer (LOF) is said to had been signed for the towage, however; the final destination of the operation has not been revealed.
