Davie Shipyard to Complete Cecon's Vessels Under Construction on Time

Further to recent announcement where Davie were not awarded the first contracts of the Canadian NSPS, Cecon have been assured that this does not alter the long term objectives of the new owners of the Shipyard.  Norway’s Cecon ASA still believes that what is now Chantier Davie Canada, Inc., Lévis, Québec, Canada, will complete the three newbuild offshore construction vessels it has on order at the shipyard.

It is still expected that final contracts to complete the three Cecon vessels under construction, will be executed in the next few weeks.

Cecon is a offshore and subsea engineering and installation contractor. Their business is to carry out contracts (both EPIC and T&I) in the SURF market within the medium to large diameter rigid pipeline segment. They have developed concepts for projects & tenders including horizontal (up to 400te) and vertical (550te) flex lay systems and rigid pipeline systems for installing pipe by reeling methods and j-lay.
