CIC Changing Shipyard Completes Repair Project MV Hai Yang Shi You 720

MV Hai Yang Shi You 720 is the first large deep-water seismic geophysical exploration vessel owned by COSL which was repaired by CIC Changing Shipyard. As the first ship of the latest generation of 3D seismic geophysical exploration ship in Asia, she is the first one which was designed and built by Chinese enterprises, meeting the standard of PSPC.

Meanwhile, the vessel is a model of the main-stream technology of current seismic vessels. The vessel is equipped with 12 cables 8000 meters in length per piece. These cables are the “eyes” and “ears” to explore oil. The cooperation among the subject vessel, deep-water survey vessels and deep-water drilling platforms could form a industrial chain to explore, develop, utilize and protect the resource of oil and gas. In term of the technology equipments, it is strong support for the exploration of China offshore oil & gas.

This time the subject vessel came to CIC Changxing Shipyard for repair and the main job was to modify and maintain the related facilities. Since the repair period encountered the lunar new year holiday, the yard paid high attention to this special vessel and worked out the strict policy on safety, security and construction accordingly. On the premise of ensuring the safety of the vessel and her equipments, the yard fulfilled the repair project with good quality.

The successful re-delivery of MV Hai Yang Shi You 720 marked CIC Changing Shipyard took a solid step in the repair of offshore units.
