Croatia: 3. MAJ Launches Two for WISBY

On 26th February, 3. MAJ shipyard, a subsidiary of the ULJANIK Group, launched two new river barges for the river transportation of crude petroleum and petroleum products.

The barges, constructed for the Swedish company WISBY TANKERS AB, were built under the supervision of the classification society BUREAU VERITAS, and will be sailing under the Columbian flag.

Both barges have identical characteristics; 59.5 m long, 16 m wide and with a total height of 4.6 m. The load bearing capacity is 2500 tonnes. The barges will be serviced by special pusher tugs.

The launching ceremony was enhanced by the presence of the representatives of the Danish bank, representatives of the shipowner WISBY TANKERS, as well as by the presence of leading people of ULJANIK Group and shipyard 3. MAJ.
