Croatia: Brodosplit Launches One for Domestic Client

Croatian shipyard Brodosplit has launched a specialized ship intended for nautical tourism, being built for a domestic client,  the “Providence”company, owned by Marijo Ercegović from Krila Jesenice.

The vessel’s godmother was the owner’s daughter Ana.

Brodosplit has carried out the construction of the steel hull and superstructure for the ship, which measures in length over all 45.59 m, 9 m in breadth and 2.4 m in draught.

We got exactly what we wanted, we are satisfied with the quality of the ship and I am confident that we will continue to cooperate,” said Ercegović.

After the delivery of the Newbuilding 520 (m/v ‘’Futura’’) in December 2012, the first in the series of ships for nautical tourism and the delivery of the Newbulidnig 521 (m/v ‘’Amalija’’) in February 2013, the shipyard workers are working on manufacturing another steel hull and superstructure for Hull 523, also a cruise ship for nautical tourism, contracted by a domestic company as well.

Having built three cruise ships for the U.S. market from 2006-2008, followed by delivery of the luxury motor yacht ”Caspian Star”, Brodoplit – Special Vessels Shipyard has commenced the construction of a new luxury yacht of 60 m, and is preparing for the construction of five three mast schooners, intended for its own fleet.
