DP World Holds Appreciation Ceremony for Vendors, UAE

Underscoring its commitment to partnership in ensuring an efficient supply chain for shipping lines and traders at Jebel Ali port, DP World, UAE Region has honoured its top vendors in a special Vendor Appreciation ceremony.

During the event, 22 companies who work with DP World, UAE Region were cited for their efforts in developing and providing cutting-edge products and technologies, superior business practices and service support for the region’s leading marine terminal operator.

Mohammed Ali Ahmed, Chief Operations Officer, DP World, UAE Region, and Esam Mohammed Khoori, Director of Procurement for the company, presented tokens of appreciation and certificates to representatives of the best performing vendors.

DP World, UAE Region is the largest port operator in the Middle East, with its flagship Jebel Ali Port providing market access to over two billion people across the wider region.

Its new container terminal due to open this year will take total capacity at the port to 19 million TEU (twenty foot equivalent container units).

Container Terminal 3 (T3) is set to be the world’s largest semi-automated facility.
