Simon Møkster said on Monday it had entered into a six-month contract plus options with Equinor for the Stril Pioner vessel.

The company added that the new contract would start in the direct continuation of present contract, which is set to expire in mid-September.

The previous four-month contract was awarded in April 2019 and it started in the second quarter of 2019.

Stril Pioner is a large, LNG-powered PSV which previously has had nearly 14 years of service for Equinor. The vessel is of a VS-4403(LNG) design. It is 95 meters long and 20,4m wide with deadweight (DWT) of more than 6000t.
