Fast Rescue Vessel ‘BEI HAI JIU 203’ Floats, China

The coastal fast rescue vessel “BEI HAI JIU 203”  built by Afai for Rescue & Salvage Bureau of Ministry of Transport, has been launched. The supervision representatives of shipowner, representatives of CCS Guagnhzou branch and the leaders of Afai jointly witnessed the launching of the vessel.

The coastal fast rescue vessels of China rescue & salvage system are mainly used to undertake social public welfare task of human life rescue speedily at coastal sea area. This vessel is full aluminum wave-piercing catamaran, propelled by twin engines and twin waterjets, with large deck area, fine navigability, high speed and maneuverability and with searching and salvaging capacity at night. The vessel can carry max. 200 rescued people, and meets the related requirements of the CCS rules and regulations for high speed vessels.
