Fourth October LNG cargo heading for South Hook

The UK’s South Hook LNG terminal is scheduled to receive the fourth cargo of the chilled gas from Qatar in October.

The Al Rekayyat LNG carrier, with a capacity of 216,000 cubic meters, is due to arrive in the Milford Haven waterway and dock at the terminal’s jetty on October 8, port authority data reveals.

The vessel has been built by Hyundai Heavy Industries and delivered to Nakilat in 2009.

The South Hook terminal can process 15.6 million tonnes of LNG a year and is capable of delivering 21 billion cubic meters of gas a year into the UK’s national transmission system.
